Use and Intent

The Altai is designed for quick assembly – one person can do it in 5 to 10 minutes. Simply place the aluminum poles, attach the canvas, secure the pegs, and tension the guy ropes. Thanks to the 270° ventilation opening and breathable canvas, the interior climate remains pleasant, even on hot summer days.

Maintenance and Storage

Always allow the tent to dry completely before storing to prevent mold. Store the canvas loosely folded in a dry, well-ventilated place. Clean with lukewarm water and a soft brush, without using any cleaning products. Treat annually with a water-repellent spray or wax for long-lasting protection.

The CanvasCamp Altai Tent is a compact pyramid tent from the Compact Series, designed for adventurers seeking lightweight, breathable comfort. Made with Tentex® PC21 polycotton canvas (65% cotton, 35% polyester – 240 g/m² after coating), it is UV-resistant, colorfast, water-repellent, and mildew-resistant while remaining breathable. Measuring 2.3 x 2.1 m, with a height of 1.3 m and a footprint of 5 m², the tent comfortably accommodates two adults and their gear, or three people. It has a hydrostatic head of 310 mm, and the durable rip-stop PE groundsheet (>3000 mm) provides moisture protection. The Altai features two doors, one window, and aluminum poles with steel awning poles.
