Start with the smoke. A good pipe carries the smoke away neatly, so the stove draws well. With a spark arrestor you keep sparks away from the canvas. Does the pipe go through the tent fabric? Then use a roof flashing with a rain plate. In addition, you control the air with an airflow controller, so the fire keeps burning calmly. Finally, some parts add comfort, such as a water tank, an oven on the pipe or a grate to cook on.
Safe burning
A heat protector keeps the heat away from the tent wall. For the ground, a floor plate or a mesh protector does the same. Also keep the pipe clean with a pipe brush, because soot slows the draught.
