How the Lifesaver Jerrycan water filter works

The jerrycan holds 18.5 litres. First you fill it with dirty water, then you pump. After that you have safe drinking water straight away, so without chemicals and without waiting. The filter removes 99.999% of viruses from the water. It also removes 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.99% of cysts. In fact, it keeps doing so for up to 20,000 litres in total.

The Active Carbon Disk also comes with it. Moreover, it reduces chemicals and heavy metals. Besides, your water tastes and smells better. But even without the disc, your water is safe to drink. Thanks to Failsafe, you get a clear sign when the filter cartridge runs out.

Tested for heavy use

An independent test lab has also tested this system. It even does better than the NSF P248 standard. That standard comes from NSF231 and applies to military use. For example, the US Army Public Health Center also uses it.
