External air stoves from Winnerwell let you heat a tent safely. A normal wood stove draws its air from the tent itself, so from the air you breathe too. These stoves, however, take the air for the fire from outside. As a result, the air in the tent stays fresher, while the stove simply does its job.
Why external air stoves?
Winnerwell calls this the External Air Intake system. A pipe brings air from outside straight to the fire. That is better for the climate in your tent, because the stove does not pull air in through gaps and zips. Moreover, the fire burns steadily, even when you keep the tent shut tight. Hot tent camping then becomes much nicer.
The stoves use AISI304 stainless steel, so they can handle a lot of outdoor use. There are several models and sizes: the Marsfire, the Nomad Plus and the Woodlander Plus. Some have a glass door or two viewing windows, so you see the fire and enjoy the mood. In addition, the Woodlander Plus L has fold-up legs and side shelves, which is handy for transport and use.
