Description
The Winnerwell Woodlander Plus Double View is a wood stove for tents with three viewing windows. It draws the air for the fire from outside the tent. So this stove pairs the well-known Woodlander design with the latest technology. Thanks to the windows at the front and on both sides, you can see the fire from every angle.
Outside air in the Winnerwell Woodlander Plus Double View
The external air system sets it apart from a normal tent stove. A hose carries air from outside straight to the firebox. As a result, the stove takes no oxygen from the tent. Moreover, it does not pull cold air in through gaps. So the warmth stays in and the draught stays out.
Safe burning in the tent
This is especially a gain for safety. In fact, a burning stove soon uses ten to twenty cubic metres of air per hour. A closed tent for four people holds only thirty to forty cubic metres. Without outside air, the oxygen therefore drops noticeably within a few hours. Even with this stove, always use a carbon monoxide alarm in the tent.
Second burn and material
The stove burns the smoke gases a second time. That gives extra heat from the same wood, while less smoke comes out of the pipe. In addition, the stove is fully AISI304 stainless steel. So it does not rust, even with a lot of outdoor use.
Which size
Choose size M for small tents and shelters. Size L, however, has a much larger firebox. It suits bell tents from about four metres and large group tents. You will find more stoves under external air stoves.
