The CanvasCamp Safari Tent is a robust canvas tent for long-term and intensive use. This tent, also known as a Wall Tent, was developed as a reliable base camp solution for demanding conditions. Thanks to its military-grade heavy-duty canvas, the Safari Tent benefits from natural breathability, while the material simultaneously provides strong protection against wind, rain, and intensive use.

The reinforced PVC base with mud flaps helps keep the tent clean and dry. The bathtub-style floor limits the risk of water infiltration, even on uneven or wet terrain. This makes the CanvasCamp Safari Tent particularly suitable for locations where durability, comfort, and reliability are paramount. Large mesh windows with PVC covers ensure pleasant ventilation during warm weather and can be fully closed in case of rain or wind.

For all-season use, the Safari Tent is equipped with an integrated stove jack. This allows a tent stove to be safely installed, providing extra warmth and comfort in colder conditions. The spacious interior and timeless design make this canvas tent suitable for glamping sites, rentals, youth groups, expeditions, and private accommodations.

Use and Intent

The Safari Tent is designed for easy setup despite its robust size. Thanks to the sturdy aluminum pole construction and clear assembly instructions, assembly can be carried out efficiently, preferably with multiple people.

The tent is suitable for all seasons and performs reliably in various conditions, from rain and wind to cold temperatures. Ventilation openings and mesh windows ensure a pleasant indoor climate, while the sturdy construction and shock-absorbing elements provide stability in windy conditions.

Maintenance and Storage

For a long lifespan, it is important that the canvas tent is stored completely dry. Clean the fabric with lukewarm water and avoid aggressive cleaning agents to preserve the protective coating.

For long-term storage, it is recommended to keep the tent in a dry, well-ventilated place. Regularly check for dirt or moisture to prevent mold growth. The groundsheet can be easily cleaned thanks to its durable and waterproof material.

Accessories and Recommended Extras

For optimal use, various accessories can be added to the Safari Tent. These include a suitable tent stove for use via the integrated stove pipe opening, extra lighting for atmospheric evenings, and comfortable sleeping solutions for extended stays.

Specifications

The CanvasCamp Safari Tent 3 x 4 m (WT3x4) is made from high-quality Tentex® TC44 canvas (95% cotton, 5% polyester) with a weight of 420 g/m² after coating. The fabric is tightly woven (twill weave) and offers an excellent balance between durability and breathability. The canvas has a water column of 450 mm (EN ISO 811), while the oil-based coating provides UV resistance, colorfastness, mildew resistance, and fire retardancy (CPAI-84).

The bathtub-style groundsheet (560 g/m², PE with rip-stop polyester) has a water column of >5000 mm and is completely waterproof. The sidewall height is 180 cm and the total height is 230 cm. The tent has an area of 12 m² and can accommodate approximately 8 people.

The construction consists of anodized aluminum poles (Ø 35 mm) and is complemented by reflective guy ropes, forged steel pegs, and durable SBS zippers. The total weight is 95 kg, distributed across two transport boxes.
