Travel pillows

Travel pillows support your neck and head when you are on the go. On the bus, on the plane or in your tent: with a pillow you rest better and wake up without a stiff neck. That way you arrive rested, even after a long journey.

Why travel pillows that inflate by themselves?

A self-inflating pillow is smart. You open the valve and the pillow draws in air on its own. Then you close the valve, and that is it. Do you want it firmer? In that case, blow in a bit more air. After use, you let the air out and roll it up small. As a result, it takes up almost no space in your backpack. It also weighs little, so it suits backpacking too.

The feel counts too. The outside is soft, while the filling gives enough support. Because of this, your head rests nicely, whether you sleep on your back or your side.

What should you look for?

First, look at the shape. A neck pillow fits round your neck and is great when you sleep sitting up, for example in the car or on the plane. A normal pillow, however, works better when you lie down, such as in your tent. Also check the weight if you walk a lot. Both pillows from Mil-Tec are light and compact. Finally, put the pillow on your sleeping mat, so it slides around less.
