Canvas and design of the CanvasCamp Oryx Tent

The fabric is canvas of cotton and polyester. Cotton breathes, while polyester makes it strong. As a result, the climate in the tent stays pleasant, even when the weather changes. Moreover, you have less trouble with damp, while air flows well. So you stay dry and fresh in spring, summer and autumn.

A pyramid shape is smart: little weight, a firm stance and still space. The tent is light enough to take along, yet it also stands firm in wind and rain. Thanks to the single pole in the middle, you pitch it quickly and simply.

Dry on any ground

The Oryx can be set up by one person in 5 to 10 minutes. Simply place the central pole, secure the pegs, and tension the guy lines. Its pyramid shape keeps the tent stable in wind and rain, while the double doors and vents provide excellent airflow. The Oryx can even be pitched without pegs, which is convenient on hard ground.

It is advisable to thoroughly wet the tent before its first use. This allows the cotton fibers to expand, closing the small openings at the seams and making the canvas more waterproof.

Afterwards, let the tent dry completely before storing it to prevent mold. Store the canvas loosely folded in a dry, well-ventilated place. Clean the tent only with lukewarm water and a soft brush, without detergents. Treat the canvas annually with a water-repellent spray for long-lasting protection.
