The Lifesaver Family Emergency Pack is the complete emergency kit for a family. With it, you can count on safe drinking water for years. The set holds a foil-wrapped Jerrycan with the filter already fitted. In addition, you get 20 spare carbon filters, a shower part and a small maintenance kit.
What the Lifesaver Family Emergency Pack does
The Jerrycan holds 18.5 litres. First you fill it with dirty water, then you pump. After that you have safe drinking water straight away, so without chemicals and without waiting. The filter removes 99.999% of viruses from the water. It also removes 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of cysts and 99.99% of microplastics.
Moreover, the carbon filters add something extra. They take out part of the chemicals and heavy metals. As a result, your water also tastes and smells better. But even without those filters, your water is safe to drink. Thanks to Failsafe, you get a clear sign when a cartridge runs out.
10 years of shelf life thanks to the foil
Both the Jerrycan and the carbon filters sit in foil. Thanks to this, they keep for 10 years. The aluminium foil keeps water vapour out. As a result, the glycerine stays in the membrane. So the filter still works well, even after years in the cupboard. In addition, the other parts sit in sealed polythene tubes.
An independent test lab has also tested the set. It meets NSF Protocol P248. This is the standard for military use and for purifiers against bacteria and viruses.
