Choose a flat, clean surface and remove any stones or branches to prevent damage to the groundsheet. Fully unroll the tent and orient the door to the desired side before pitching. Then, peg the corners of the groundsheet so it's taut, but not too tight.

Then, position the center pole and the A-frame at the entrance and check that both are level. Tighten the guy ropes evenly to keep the canvas secure and prevent water retention. Check that the groundsheet is fully zipped shut to keep out rain, drafts, and insects.

Ventilate the tent well through windows or vents to reduce condensation, especially at night or in rainy weather. Always let the tent dry completely before storing it, and use heat sources well away from the canvas. This will keep your Sibley Apex in top condition for many adventures.

To extend the life of your Sibley Apex tent, proper maintenance is essential. Always allow the tent to dry completely before folding and storing it. Even light dew or condensation can cause mold over time. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents; instead, clean the canvas with lukewarm water and a soft brush. Stubborn stains can be gently removed with a mild, non-synthetic detergent suitable for canvas.

Regularly check the zippers, seams, and guy ropes for wear and tear and replace damaged parts as needed. Store the tent in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, preferably loosely folded so the canvas can breathe. Avoid storing it in plastic bags or in damp spaces to prevent condensation.

When storing for extended periods, it's recommended to air out the tent occasionally. This keeps the canvas fresh, dry, and ready for your next outdoor adventure.

All Sibley Apex tents can be equipped with a wood-burning stove. The series does not come with a pre-installed stove exhaust, allowing you to choose the type of stove and its placement. The CanvasCamp Stove Exit fits any stove and is easily installed in under 10 minutes.
Caution: Do not use a wood stove in a Sibley 300 due to limited interior space and safety.
