Description

The Winnerwell Arctic is a spacious tipi tent for cold-weather camping. It is designed for users looking for a stable, well-ventilated shelter during multi-day trips. Thanks to the stove jack at the top, you can easily combine the tent with a tent stove. This makes it suitable for winter camping, bushcraft, and longer expeditions in cold conditions.

The tent is made from a sturdy poly-cotton blend. This material is known for its excellent water resistance combined with breathability. This creates a pleasant interior climate, even during prolonged use. At the bottom, three mosquito-proof and water-resistant vents ensure constant air circulation. In addition, there is adjustable ventilation at the top, which can be left open even in the rain.

Thanks to the simple setup system, you can set up the tent alone without the help of a second person. Inside, the tipi offers plenty of headroom. This allows you to move around comfortably, cook, or store gear. The guy lines are equipped with reflective material. This keeps them clearly visible in the dark, which reduces the risk of tripping.

In short, the Winnerwell Arctic is a reliable choice for those looking for a winter-proof tipi tent with a stove jack. The tent is suitable for small groups of up to 6 people.

Choose a flat, dry location that is somewhat sheltered from wind. Remove sharp stones or branches before spreading out the tent to ensure the groundsheet remains intact. Lay the tent flat in a regular octagon, ensuring that the anchor points of the snow skirt are easily accessible.

Next, assemble the central pole and slide it through the opening at the top of the tent so that it stands vertically and centrally. Then, secure the pegs through the anchor points of the snow skirt, tighten the straps evenly, and adjust the guy lines for added stability. Finally, press the snow skirt firmly against the ground.

If you intend to use the tent with a stove, first place the fire-resistant mat under the chimney exit and position the stove on it, aligned with the opening. Assemble the chimney pipe and spark arrestor above the heat protector and feed them through the penetration kit to the outside. Connect the air supply hose and hang it with the attachment cord, with the outlet at least one meter above the ground.

Always allow the tent to dry completely after use before storing it to prevent mold growth. Store the tent in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. If the tent has become wet due to rain or condensation, hang it open in a ventilated area until it is completely dry before repacking it.

Remove dirt, leaves, and dust from both the inside and outside of the tent. Neatly roll up the guy ropes and store the center pole separately in its storage bag. Remove the pegs in the same direction they were inserted, clean them, and count them to ensure none are missing.

Then, fold the tent evenly inwards from both sides, with the snow skirt neatly folded in, and roll the tent tightly from both ends. For light cleaning, use lukewarm water and avoid machine washing or steaming, as this can affect the waterproofness of the fabric.

For optimal use in combination with a tent stove, we recommend purchasing a suitable heat protector and flue kit, specifically designed for tents with a stove jack. An extra piece of air intake hose is useful if you want to place the stove further from the tent wall.

Additionally, consider a ground sheet that matches the dimensions of this tipi, to further protect the floor and snow skirt from moisture and insects. For use in strong winds or on loose ground, extra or specially designed pegs for snow or sand are recommended, along with sturdy guy lines to further anchor the center pole.
