Winnerwell Flashing Kit Sealing Set for Tent Stove

The Winnerwell Flashing Kit is a round seal for the spot where the chimney leaves your tent. The set fully closes the gap between the stove jack and the pipe. So rain, wind and dirt stay outside, even in bad weather.

How the Winnerwell Flashing Kit works

The kit has a cone-shaped silicone collar. Rings of stainless steel clamp this collar in place. You tighten the rings with six wing nuts, so you need no tools. The lower edge lies on the tent fabric around the opening, while the collar closes tightly around the pipe. Rain then runs off over the silicone, instead of down the pipe into the tent.

Moreover, the silicone is supple and can take 240 °C. You can use the kit on a stove jack that is already in your tent. But it also works when you make your own stove jack in a tent or shelter.

Note: only around a heat shield chimney

Only fit this set around a Winnerwell heat shield chimney, so never straight around a normal stove pipe. Such a pipe gets much hotter than 240 °C, and the silicone would melt.

Also watch the height of the collar. The top part of the chimney is clearly warmer than the rest. With size Large, therefore, the silicone must stay fully below the fifth row of cooling holes. That also applies when you fit the kit at an angle. Can you not reach the right height? Then adjust the build with short Winnerwell pipe sections.

Which size

First the standard size: it has an inner diameter of 122 mm. It fits the triple-wall chimneys of 2.1 and 2.5 inch, and also the double-wall G2 of 3.5 inch. The Large size, by contrast, has an inner diameter of 150 mm. It suits the triple-wall chimney of 3.5 inch and the External Air stoves in size M.
